Introduction

A paleo diet is a meal plan based on foods that resemble what human hunter-gatherer ancestors ate thousands of years ago during the Paleolithic age. There’s no particular way they ate. Some had low-carb diet and high in animal foods while some others had plenty of fruits and vegetables. This diet typically includes lean meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds foods that in the past could be obtained by hunting and gathering.

Purpose of this diet:

The aim of this diet is to return to a way of eating that's more like what early humans ate. The paleo diet's reasoning is that the human body is genetically mismatched to the modern day’s diet that emerged with farming practices.
Other names include the Paleolithic diet, the Stone age diet, the Hunter gatherer diet, the caveman diet, etc.
