No one has quite decoded IPL than Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) legend. Known for his cool head explosive finishing and sharp game-reading abilities from behind the stums that have won the team as many as four IPL titles, MS Dhoni is the perfect wicket-keeper cum captain of the modern era. Dinesh Karthik is a veteran of IPL. He has been one of the most consistent and reliable wicket keepers since the biggening of IPL. He has played for Delhi Daredevils, now Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Lions, KXIP, MI and RCB with over 200 matches under his belt. Dinesh Karthik has proven to be an important player for every IPL team he has played in. He has 133 catches,14 run-outs 34 stumpings to his name.
Robin Uthappa is not really known as a wicket keeper in his international career. But he has an excellent record as a wicketkeeper in IPL and has proven one of the most trusted keepers behind the stumps. In his IPL career, Uthappa has played for multiple IPL franchises. In his long IPL career Robin Uthappa as a keeper has 92 catches, 9 run outs and 38 stumpings. This makes Uthappa the third most successful wicket keeper in IPL history.
Wriddhiman Saha is fondly remembered from the Punjab Kings matches, especially in the IPL 2014 final, when he scored an unbeaten 115. He may not be the most glamorous player in the IPL, but he has proven himself to be quite dependable. Apart from his batting prowess, Saha also sits fourth on the list of IPL’s best wicket-keepers with 62 catches and 20 stumpings to his name.
One of the longer successful overseas players in the IPL history is South Africa’s Quinto de Kock. He is known for his blistering batting in the opener’s position. He was an integral part of Mumbai Indians team as they won the IPL in 2021. He has continued journey in the IPL with the Lucknow Super Giants.
