The fourth week was super exciting! I had an exciting three day trip to Goa filled with a lot of fun, food and of course the Goa River Marathon. Vacation, Friends & Running.
I had Fast&Up Activate at the starting point, which I normally do before all the marathons and the long training runs. That gave me enough energy for a nice start.
The Goa route is tough. It starts with a downhill and the end is uphill. The rest of the route is all rolling hills. I enjoyed every km of the race as there was no pressure of timing. I chatted with fellow runners, shouted at those who were walking and cheered on friends who were going fast! A race becomes a run when you enjoy it and I thoroughly enjoyed this run!
Ended the run with Pro Total for recovery. The weather was super and it was a very well organized run by Sunil and Sangeeta Shetty.
Without the help and encouragement of each of them, I would not have been able to achieve what I have, at the age of 62!
Now I'm back to training for SCMM. The routine of chatting with my friends with whom I regularly run, fixing time, route, distance and the fun part after each run is what keeps me going and is always something I look forward to.
The next two weeks are going to be a killer, but I'm sure it's going to be very exciting and fun
I am quite positive of a good timing at SCMM.
