One Key Player for Each IPL Team for UAE Leg

IPL is set to resume in UAE from 19th September, 2021

IPL 2021

The 14th Edition of Indian Premier League, which began in India in April, is now set to resume in United Arab Emirates (UAE). The first leg of the tournament saw some blistering batting performances, splendid bowling performances and many nail-biting thrillers that kept us on the edges of our seats. Here we look at one player that will be playing an instrumental role for their respective sides in the second leg of IPL.

1. Rashid Khan (SRH)

Rashid Khan is regarded as T20 great by most cricketing experts and his heroics are not hidden from IPL. Years after years, he has delivered match-winning performances for his Hyderabad team. This season was no exception. He took 10 wickets from seven matches at an economy of just over six. If SRH want to claw their way back to the top then Rashid has to be the man who needs to continue performing for them.

2. Andre Russel (KKR)

The man known for his muscle power is none other than Andre Russell. KKR have always been dependent on him to do well and this season too they need their star all-rounder to win them many more matches. He almost pulled-off a heist against CSK, where he scored 54 runs off 22 balls while chasing mammoth 220-run total. Russell is coming on back of some entertaining performances in CPL and would like to continue to smash more sixes in IPL 2021.

3. KL Rahul (PBKS)

The Punjab team captain was their highest run scorer in the first half and nearly missed centuries on two occasions but ensured that his team ends of winning side on both the occasions. He has the style, flare and power to score runs at brisk pace to help his team to put daunting totals on the board. He was the Orange cap winner last time (in 2020) and if PBKS are to win their maiden IPL title then Rahul’s form will be a huge factor.

4. Sanju Samson (RR)

Another keeper-captain who has lit the tournament with his exemplary batting display is RR’s Sanju Samson. Placed fourth in the orange cap list with 277 runs from 7 innings, Samson even has a hundred to his name in this year’s tournament. RR’s chances lie in their captain’s hand especially after many of their overseas stars pulling out of the tournament and Sanju will have to put his hand up to make sure his team reaches the knockout stage.

5. Jasprit Bumrah (MI)

Jasprit Bumrah (MI)- Key Player for Each IPL Team for UAE Leg

After a successful tour of England, ace Indian spearhead Bumrah will be keen to replicate his form into the IPL. His toe-crushing yorkers, speed, nagging accuracy and never say die attitude is what makes him an absolute genius with the ball. MI who are in contention to become the first team to win the IPL title three consecutive times will need their pace bowler to keep uprooting opposition batsman’s stumps.

6. AB De Villiers (RCB)

ABD alongside captain Kohli has been the pillar of RCB’s batting line up. His heroics are hidden from none. The 360-degree master who can hit the ball to all parts of the ground has always been at his best in the IPL. RCB are yet to win their first IPL trophy and if de Villiers is on fire throughout the tournament, hardly any teams will be able to stop him and this would mean that RCB would be crowned as the champions.

7. Ravindra Jadeja (CSK)

Ravindra Jadeja (CSK) - Key Players in IPL 2021

Sir Jadeja was on song in the Indian leg of IPL 2021. He was batting brilliantly and radical improvements were seen in his bowling figures as well. He was athletic on field as ever. His wicket-taking ball to Buttler in CSK’s match against RR is even considered as the ball of the tournament so far by many experts and who can forget when he took on the purple cap holder Harshal Patel for 37 runs in a single over. If Jadeja can carry on his form in the second half then CSK look in the driver’s seat to clinch their fourth title.

8. Rishabh Pant (DC)

The newly appointed captain of DC, Rishabh Pant had played a couple of crucial knocks for his side as DC openers did most of the run scoring work. However, come the final stages of the league, his services will be needed by his side to put huge targets on the board. His six hitting prowess are unmatched and for the past many seasons he has been terrific with the bat. His batting as well as his captaincy will decide Delhi’s fate in the tournament.

This was the list of key players for each franchise. IPL 2021 resumes in UAE from 19th September, 2021 where archrivals CSK & MI go head-to-head.
