    International Yoga Day will be celebrated all over the world at a time where Covid-19 pandemic continues to affect the lives of many globally. The pandemic has been a great learning that our physical health matters but more importantly it is our mental health that we need to focus more on as we continue to live in the world of new normal.

    Yoga has the power to make you feel relaxed and alleviate stress or any negativity in life. By practicing yoga every day, you can take care of your physical as well as mental health and keep your mood happy and cheerful.

    International Yoga Day – Session Details

    A guided Yoga session with International Yoga experts where you will get to know various yoga exercises that can help to overcome all your sleep issues and get a good, relaxed sleep by performing the asana shown by experts.

    International Yoga Expert Angie will be joined by Yoga Instructor Jyothi Naik (host for the session) in a brief half hour session to guide us through yoga and meditation exercises for better sleep.

    Why should you attend?

    A study reported that 1 in 3 Indian do not get enough sleep and are subject to health complications that follow it. The second lockdown only made the matters worse as the uncertainty and the negativity led to people being trapped by distress and anger. This led to more and more people not getting enough rest and sound sleep.

    Whether you were infected by the virus or not, the sleep problem was felt by almost all in the country. So, what is the way out? What can one do to get restful sleep?

    Well, YOGA can be an effective tool that you can use to get good sleep. Doing certain asanas will help you do away with various ailments that cause delayed sleep and enable you to get long and sound sleep.

    Getting 6 to 8 hours of daily sleep is not easy but it certainly is not impossible as well.

    About the Experts –

    Angie – International Yoga Expert

    Angie is based out in London, UK; has trained in Ashtanga Yoga RYT 200 and is the founder of Tiwari Yoga. She is a Yoga instructor and Meditation & Breathwork teacher with a diploma in Ayurveda. She conducts Yoga sessions online where people can attend her session through online membership as well as she conducts many online workshops etc. Angie has worked as the assistant Yoga teacher for GROW’s holistic program of yoga and meditation which involved teaching 250 children in Year 7 and 8. Later, she joined the team of teachers at CYC to make Yoga and Meditation affordable and achievable for all, regardless of current or historic circumstances. She has Indian roots and firmly believes – “Meditation is about watching the thoughts, being the observer, being aware, and training yourself.” Yoga has helped her live better and she inspires others to practice Yoga daily for good health and happiness.

    Jyothi Naik - Host

    Jyothi Naik is a Certified Yoga Instructor and will be the host for the event. She has been associated with Fast&Up as a Yoga influencer. Apart from doing Yoga, she is a firm believer of living an active and healthy lifestyle and always tries to spread the message to everyone about good health, nutrition and physical fitness.
