What is Omicron?

The Omicron variant was first reported to WHO on 24 November 2021. The classification was made on the advice of the Technical Advisory Group on Virus Evolution. This variant was primarily based on information from South Africa and has undergone a large number of mutations and can be dangerous. Common symptoms are cough, sore throat, fever, fatigue and congestions.

In these hard times it is often required to keep oneself safe. With the new COVID variant upsurge –Omicron. It is therefor vital to carry out minimalistic measures to stay safe and prevent any kind of infections. One can:

  • Get Vaccinated:

Omicron variant has larger number of mutations i.e. the virus can be dangerous and may even affect the population that has been vaccinated. It poses a greater risk to those who are not vaccinated. So go get your vaccine now!

  • Focus on your diet:

A normal balanced diet works best to ward off any infections or any diseases. A diet rich in fruits and green vegetables, rich in antioxidants are best in fighting any diseases causing bacteria and viruses. Don’t do extremes don’t diet too hard or eat any unhealthy foods like fried or highly processed food.
