Deepa has had an impressive career of achieving superb feats such as winning the 75K in 2013 Banglore Ultra and 100K in 2014 Banglore Ultra.

Deepa loves to run marathons and ultramarathons because she believes that competition is about making yourself better than those around you and the person you were yesterday.

Post her pregnancy Deepa wanted to get fitter and opt for a healthier lifestyle.

In Deepa's words, 'Be disciplined. Train hard and race easy.'

Deepa would like to complete one half Ironman distance triathlon.

Deepa favorite memory is winning the Bangalore Ultra two consecutive years in a row.

Deepa would like to share her two simple rules:
-- Start slow and build your endurance.
-- Don&t overlook importance of nutrition because only working out will not help. Proper diet is very important.

9. What her normal training day looks like
Deepa's everyday training usually begins with an hour of running or gym followed with intense household work. She rests post that and if time permits in the evening, she opts to go to the gym or swimming (Whew!)

Deepa loves to train amidst greenery at the Sanjay Gandhi National Park (Borivali, Mumbai)
11. Everyday fitness diet
Deepa prefers regular home-cooked food with lots of fruits, veggies and lots of water.

As Deepa says, 'There are so many so, not possible to single out anyone, but the people who achieve that which seems impossible because of their determination and hard-work inspire me.'

Deepa's biggest source of encouragement is her husband Pradeep Katrodia.

Her child Misri is a strong motivating factor for Deepa.
15. One goal she'd like to achieve
Deepa would like to be able to compete at the highest level of fitness without injury, in all kind of sports like marathon, ultra marathon and triathlon!
16. Importance of sports nutrition in her life
Deepa believes that your body needs proper nutrition to help the muscles, recover, which are working so hard for you. She says that one cannot achieve their fitness goal without proper nutrition.
