Niranjana has been an Asia cup winner 2012. She displayed her bowling talent on the English ground when Indian Women played England in their five-match Test series in 2014. The England team were bowled out for just 92 due her outstanding performance (4-19). She was also instrumental in beating Australia in Australia T-20 series.

Niranjana's passion for cricket started when she would play cricket with tennis ball with street boys.

In Niranjana's words, 'You are what you consume. Create a lifestyle around being fit. It is essential not only for sports. But for general life too.'

The biggest challenge that Niranjana faced was from the city - a woman who liked to play cricket was uncommon. Now she says she doesn't care and it is because of players like Niranjana that more girls want to play sports on a professional level. (Thank you!)

Niranjana shared a few memories with us such as When she represented board 11, her half century and the bowling spell against Australia which got her back into the national side permanently.
